We recently notified the community of a proposal to name an unnamed lanein OMEO ‘Quartz Lane’.

The extended community was invitedto provide feedback on this proposal.

Having considered all the feedbackreceived, Council has made a final decision to accept the naming proposal.

The naming proposal will now besubmitted to the Registrar of Geographic Names for consideration and inclusionin VICNAMES – the Register of Geographic Names.

Once the naming proposal is endorsed by the Registrar andregistered in VICNAMES, Council will complete the implementation process forthe new road name and notify all relevant authorities, affected property ownersand update road signage accordingly.
