Are you looking for free things to do after hours? Our Libraries After Dark program is offered at Bairnsdale Library on Thursday evenings until 9pm. The program is different each week, offering games, film screenings, workshops and fascinating guest speakers. Or just drop in for a cuppa - we offer a safe and welcoming environment for all.

The Libraries After Dark program is an initiative of Moreland City Council and supports libraries across Victoria through funds provided by the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation.

Movie Screening – Master Gardener

A Join us for a viewing of the film, Master Gardener!

Master Gardener follows Narvel Roth, the meticulous horticulturist of the beautiful Gracewood Gardens estate. When his employer demands that he take on her wayward and troubled great-niece as a new apprentice, chaos enters Narvel's spartan existence, unlocking dark secrets from a buried violent past that threaten them all.

Join us for a viewing of the film Before Dawn!

Jim Collins, a young man from outback Australia, leaves his family-run sheep station to join the ANZAC and fight on the western front with hopes of making a difference. Soon, the realities of the muddy, ruthless, and entirely unforgiving war takes its toll.

As the men in the battalion are whittled away and hope becomes a distant memory, a final chance at redemption at the Battle of the Hindenburg Line, one of Australia’s greatest WW1 military victories. Jim must risk death or forever carry the burden of leaving yet another man behind.
