Do you know what to do if fire, flood or storm hits?
Council is calling on local communities to prepare for potential emergencies by creating an emergency response plan, called a Local Incident Management Plan (LIMP).
The LIMP model helps communities plan for potential emergencies, with support provided by East Gippsland Shire Council’s Emergency Management Team.
Local Incident Management Plans ensure residents and visitors in a district know where to go, what to take and what to expect if a major incident affects the area. LIMPs are reviewed regularly to ensure they are accurate and relevant.
LIMPs are issued to all households, displayed in district facilities and posted on Council’s website.
Communities can invite Council to meet with them to discuss the need for a LIMP plan and facilitate community discussion.
