East Gippsland Agribusiness Leadership Program – Round 3 now open for applications
Date of Issue:
March 12, 2025

Building on the overwhelming success of the first two rounds, East Gippsland Shire Council has secured funding to deliver a third round of the highly sought-after Agricultural Leadership Program for Economic Resilience. This exciting opportunity continues to empower our agricultural community with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive and lead in a changing economic landscape.

Applications are now open until 18 March for the three-month program, which begins on 24 March 2025. Individuals over the age of 18 and aspiring to a future role in community leadership, recovery, or economic development are encouraged to apply.

Led by farm management consultant Chris Mirams and futurist Dr Gary Saliba, the program offers a regional tour, training, mentoring, and peer-to-peer learning to strengthen leadership skills and build personal and business resilience.

Running from March to May 2025, the program provides participants with firsthand insights into how East Gippsland’s farming communities are adapting, diversifying, and collaborating to create a more resilient agricultural sector.

Participants will gain practical knowledge in sustainable farming practices and innovation; skills to lead change within their businesses and communities, an adaptive mindset to navigate challenges and drive long-term success and opportunities to connect with industry leaders and like-minded peers.
