The Common Ground crew has ticked off about 30 kilometres of constructed trail.
Trails that are open for public use remain at 10km. While some trails are nearing completion, they are not ready to be ridden yet. It remains a construction site as bridges, connections and construction access is needed.
We are aiming to open more trails – about double what is already open – before Christmas 2023. Stay tuned!

The trails are being well used and reports from riders indicates people of all ages are enjoying the trails.
The car park at Livingstone Park was full of riders and bikes over the June long weekend.
The completed and open first 10 kilometres of trails are just a‘taster’ of what is to come and are a blend of fun beginner and intermediate cross-country and gravity trails with great views over Livingstone Creek and Omeo. All can be accessed from the trail head at Livingstone Park.
In mid-June, Jeremy and his two boys Van and Fergus (pictured below) were visiting Omeo from the Mornington Peninsula and rode a few trails including the blue run (Flomeo) and the Oriental Express loop. Jeremy – on a electric bike –alternated towing them up, the other riding.
“All of us had an absolute ball on the trails over the past few days. Thanks to you and the crew who have made this happen.Awesome little town with a lot of potential for future riding,” Jeremy said.
Groups of students from the Alpine (Leadership) School have also been having a blast on the trails.
