‍Fashion-forward and eco-friendly! East Gippsland Shire Council’s Mayor, Councillors, CEO and staff donned op-shop outfits to promote second-hand finds as one of the many ways we can reuse, recycle, save resources and keep clothes out of landfill – and save money doing it. While it is great to give clothes a second chance by donating your unwanted items, remember – if you wouldn’t give it to a friend, don’t give it to the op shop. Council offers a free textile recycling program at Bairnsdale Landfill, just one of the ways we’re working to protect our environment.
