Temporary road closure notification - Gulf Road Bridge, Bendoc

Council wishes to advise that Gulf Road Bridge will be closed for approximately four weeks from Monday 3 February 2025 until approximately Monday 3 March 2025 in order to undertake urgent bridge replacement works.

Council have awarded the bridge replacement project at Gulf Road to Tambo Constructions Pty Ltd. The project sees the replacement of the existing load limited timber bridge with a steel and concrete bridge. Due to limitations in workspace and types of works being undertaken, the plan is to close Gulf Road at the bridge for four weeks.

Anyone requiring access to areas West of the bridge site are requested to use the alternate access via Haydens Bog Road and Legge Road. Signage will be installed at the Gulf Road/Camerons Road intersection and Legge Rd Gulf Road intersection advising of detours and closure, three days prior to the road closure.

East Gippsland Shire Council apologises for any inconvenience that maybe caused.
