We have been alerted that potential scam callers are targeting East Gippsland residents.

If you receive a call from anyone identifying as from East Gippsland Shire who is conducting a population survey, we advise you hang up.

Council is not currently undertaking any telephone surveys. When we do conduct surveys our contractors will always identify themselves by company name and advise they are conducting a survey on behalf of Council.

Our most recent survey ended on 1 December and was conducted by National Field Services, who have a phone number starting with 03977.
