Twin Rivers District comprises of the following localities: Johnsonville, Nicholson, Swan Reach, Tambo Upper and Bumberrah.
Nestled on the banks of the Tambo River in Johnsonville, the Harry Clues Memorial Reserve is home to the main recreational boating facilities in the Twin Rivers District. It is also a high-use, significant site for recreational activities such as fishing and rowing.
Council, in partnership with the Harry Clues Memorial Reserve Committee of Management, developed plans to improve visitor facilities at the reserve.
Two building projects will see the replacement of the existing toilet and barbeque and inclusion of showers in the new toilets. This is to accommodate the needs of the growing number of rowers using this part of the river. Construction works commenced in late 2019.
The Land Use Plan is being finalised. It will develop a land use and development strategy that will draw together community views and key information relating to the region’s future development.
