Council proposes to close a portion of unused road adjacent to 286 Marine Parade Lakes Entrance and sell the portion of unused road to the adjoining owner at a price not less than valuation. The portion of land is shown with crossed lines below:

This is in accordance with Clause 3 of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989 and Section 12 of the Road Management Act 2004.

Written submissions about the proposal will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and must be received at Council’s Corporate Centre, 273 Main Street, Bairnsdale 3875, by 4.00 pm on Wednesday 10 March 2021.

Anyone making a submission should indicate whether they wish to be heard in support of their written submission. Anyone wishing to be heard is entitled to appear in person, or by a person acting on their behalf, at a meeting comprising the whole of Council with a quorum being five Councillors, on Tuesday 16 March 2021 at 1.00 pm at Council’s Corporate Centre, 273 Main Street, Bairnsdale.
