This morning (Wednesday 23 February 2022) upon opening the Lakes Entrance Aquadome a chemical spill was identified by staff within our plant room. This resulted in an evacuation of the facility and for emergency services to attend and assist staff with the chemical spill and ventilating the area.

While the spill was contained and the clean-up of the area is being managed effectively, the incident has resulted in the Aquadome being deemed unsafe for public entry.

For the safety of patrons and staff the Aquadome we will be closed for the rest of the day.

The Aquadome will open as normal (6am) tomorrow (Thursday 24 February) to the public.
