At its Council meeting on Tuesday 21 April, Council resolved to suspend its East Gippsland Road Management Plan 2017 until 30 April 2021.

The suspension is not intended to impact the maintenance of local roads in the shire, with road management contracts and activity still in place.

Fire damaged roads will be made safe for the travelling public and additional remediation works will be undertaken in separate contracts.

We ask you to obey road signs associated with changed road conditions on fire affected roads.

If a further extension is needed, the proposed extension will be brought to Council before 30 April 2021.
